Vendor Operations Manager – Incentive Fulfilment

Working with the ChipRewards Operations Team you will be responsible for developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved fulfillment vendors who provide member incentives through digital and physical gift cards and open-loop cards; merchandise; travel and more.


  • Manage external vendor relations within Operations department
  • Evaluate suitable vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns
  • Conduct research on available vendors to determine which vendors offer the best pricing and product quality
  • Continually monitor market trends to explore expansion across new business lines
  • Conduct interviews with new vendors and inform approved vendors of their responsibilities and obligations
  • Establish standards by which to assess the performance of approved vendors
  • Track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance
  • Prepare processes and oversee vendor analysis, selection, and transition
  • Evaluate current vendor management programs and identify ways to improve them
  • Manage contract renewals and RFPs for future vendors
  • Complete pricing comparison analyses
  • Perform as a functional bridge amongst external vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate all vendor management tasks inclusive of working with external vendors and internal employees
  • Ensure enterprise-wide needs for due diligence, risk assessment and continuing vendor monitoring are being accomplished
  • Help implement and coordinate vendor selection processes and methods to approve new vendors
  • Troubleshoot all vendor-related problems and present to management as required
  • Identify improvement areas internally and work closely with the stakeholders to prepare solutions
  • Assist with formulating workflow processes, methods, and policies for applying vendors
  • Collaborate with IT resources to ensure vendor contracts are effectively leveraged and managed
  • Prepare processes and manage vendor analysis, selection, and transition
  • Monitor vendor contractual agreements for all IT functionality and requirements
  • Monitor and manage vendor invoice payments
  • Act as the main point of contact for addressing any inquiries and questions related to vendor financial operations
  • Assist Senior Managers in vendor financial management and reporting activities


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology or related field; Masters and/or MBA preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in vendor management
  • Management of medium to large-scale third-party relationships and agreements
  • Extensive experience with third party contracts for sophisticated managed service or outsourced relationships
  • Strong negotiation, management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish priorities, multi-task, handle competing priorities and follow through on all open items/tasks
  • Decision making skills and ability to clearly articulate decisions in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects and process improvement activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to manage rapidly changing priorities and opportunities in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical/problem solving skills
  • Customer oriented mindset with a drive to deliver high quality results
  • Solid technical skills in the use of Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Experience related to gift cards fulfillment, incentives and fintech
